论“竹式”结构与“树式”结构在汉英谚语及其变体中的体现

The Embodiment of “Bamboo-Structure” and “Tree-Structure” in Chinese and English Proverbs

谚语是人类语言普遍存在的一种语言单位,汉英谚语反映了汉英民族各自的语言结构特点,二者在语言演变过程中都产生了适合各民族言语表达的谚语变体。但无论是谚语本身还是产生的变体,它们在句式结构上存在着明显的差异。汉语句式主要以"竹式"结构呈现,而英语句式主要以"树式"结构呈现。研究发现,正是因汉英句式结构的不同造成了其谚语以及变体句式结构的不同。

Proverbs, as one kind of language unit, universally exist in human expressions. Both Chinese and English proverbs reflect their structure characteristics respectively. Although these proverbs produce different kinds of variants, there are obvious differences in the expressions of sentence structure. "Tree-Structure" is mainly presented in Chinese expressions compared with the expressions of "Bamboo-Structure" in English. Researches find that the reason why the expressions of sentence structure between Chinese and English proverbs vary is that the different structures presented in two languages.
