摘要
从语言学角度来看可以对语用学可以作多种不同的定义,但关键是要认识到语用学本质上是一种意义研究,是一种将语言置于使用的语境中的意义研究。近年来,关于语用学的研究一般是对指示语、会话含意、前提、言语行为和会话结构等进行描写、分析与解释。其中,语言学家们大多选择从会话含义的角度来进行研究,但格莱斯会话含意学说对互动式言语交际的贡献仅是初步的,在此基础上,莱可夫、布朗、列文森和利奇等纷纷提出与合作原则相互补益的礼貌论,以补充合作原则及其准则,提升对言语交际中语用语言现象、社交语用现象的解释。本文就是从合作原则的视角来讨论简·奥斯汀小说《爱玛》中的人物对话。
There are so many different ways used to define Pragmatics from linguistic, but the point is to realize that Pragmatics is a research of meaning in nature; it is a meaningful research of language in the context. The researches of Pragmatics are mainly include: context, deixis, conversational implication, prediction, speech act and conversational structure, conversational implication and politeness principle are two core contents of Pragmatics which make significant influence in verbal communication. This context will analyze the dialogues of characters in Emma of Jane Austin according to the Cooperative Principle of Grice, Politeness Principle of Leech and Face-theory of P. Brown and S. Levinson.
