Yan Ge-ling, as one of the influential writers in the North American Chinese literary world, has made remarkable achievements in the literary circles at home and abroad, and his creation has aroused widespread concern at home and abroad. The attention to life experience reflects the profound thinking and reflection of life. This paper mainly takes the novel Youth as an example to explore the confusion and redemption of the characters in Yan Ge-ling's novels under the absence of emotional experience.
