摘要
介词因为其词义复杂且抽象,成为学生学习英语词汇的一大难点,也是英语教师教学的一大重点。本文试从认知语言学的意向图示理论和概念隐喻理论出发,对介词OF的空间含义、隐喻义等进行了探析,以发现OF语义间的内在联系及其隐喻化的过程,对该介词的教与学有很好的启示意义。
Because of the complexity and abstraction of preposition, it has become a difficulty for students to learn English vocabulary and it is also a major focus on English teaching. The paper is based on image schema theory and conceptual metaphor theory, exploring the spatial meaning and metaphorical meaning of the preposition OF, to find the internal relation between semantic meanings and the process of semantic metaphor. It is inspirational to prepositions in teaching and learning.
