Does Skopos Theory Apply to Fiction Translation——Take Xiangzi of Locke as an Example

译者在翻译一部作品前,会明确自己的翻译目的,再通过翻译方法具体地将自己的翻译思想展现给读者,使要表达的目的从读者群中得到反馈。本文将通过对《骆驼祥子》译文中的翻译方法:直译、意译及语序调整三个方面来体现目的论适用于小说翻译。

Before translating a piece of work, a translator will clarify his purpose of translation, and then express his translation thoughts to readers through translation methods, so that the purpose to express is to get feedback from readers. In this paper, Skopos Theory is applied to the translation of novels through three aspects: literal translation, free translation and word order adjustment.
