The project teaching method of combination of work and learning is a new attempt in the process of English teaching reform in colleges and universities. This teaching method emphasizes the employment-oriented teaching mode and closely combines the project with classroom learning, in order to maximize the effectiveness of students’ English learning. This paper makes a deep study on the necessity of implementing the project-based teaching method in colleges and universities under the background of the combination of work and learning, and provides some ideas on how to implement it.
