文章将以后殖民主义下的文化身份为理论基础把扎迪·史密斯的中篇小说《柬埔寨大使馆》为主要研究对象,通过对这部小说所体现的后殖民主题的解读与分析,综合探讨在英国多元文化的社会背景下族裔群体在构建文化身份的过程中如何走出迷茫,突破身份困境,实现文化身份的构建。

The article takes the cultural identity under the post-colonialism as the theoretical basis, taking Zadi Smith’s novella the 'Embassy of Cambodia' as the main object of study, through the interpretation and analysis of the postcolonial theme embodied in this novel. This paper comprehensively discusses how ethnic groups can get out of confusion, break through the dilemma of identity and realize the construction of cultural identity in the process of constructing cultural identity under the background of British multiculturalism.
