览目录之精 明国学之序——评《四库全书简明目录》

《四库全书简明目录》是《四库全书总目》的简编本,它是我国一部收录丰富、行文简洁的古籍提要目录,学界却往往因《总目》之经典而对《简目》的价值估计不足。该书体例简明,省略了小序,只有书名和部类等精要的内容。作为目录学入门书籍,《简目》实则更加便于查阅我国古代经典书籍,进一步了解我国古代目录学体系。

'A Concise Catalogue of Siku' is compendium of 'General Contents of Siku'. It is a rich and concise catalogue of ancient books in China, but the academic circles often fail to estimate the value of the 'Jianmu because of classic ‘Zongmu'. The style of the book is concise, omitting a small order, only book titles and categories of essential content. As an introductory book of bibliography, 'Jianmu' is more convenient to consult the classical books of ancient China and further understand the ancient bibliography system of our country.
