摘要
本文以某理工类高校中外合作办学项目为例,采用课堂观察、访谈的研究方法,分析学生出勤与上课座位位置、课堂表现。结合外教的反馈发现:在外教全英文教学课堂里有大约10%的学生缺乏专注力;困扰中外合作办学的学生最大障碍是语言而非专业,而要求英语教师全面地掌握一门专业知识并达到双语教学的水平,目前恐怕还有较大差距。最后建议ESP是英语教师利用自身语言优势服务于中外合作办学的一种有效途径。
This paper takes the Sino-foreign cooperative education project of a certain university of science and engineering as an example, adopts the research method of classroom observation and interview to analyze the student’s attendance and class seat position and classroom performance. Based on the feedback from foreign teachers, it is found that about 10% of the students in the whole English teaching classroom are lack of concentration;The biggest obstacle to Chinese-foreign cooperative students is language rather than specialty. At present, there is still a big gap for English teachers to master a professional knowledge and reach the level of bilingual teaching. Finally, it is suggested that ESP is an effective way for English teachers to use their own language advantages to serve Sino-foreign cooperation in running schools.
