Camel Xiangzi is a masterpiece of ancient Chinese literature. It is also a masterpiece of Lao She and has been studied and translated for many translators. From the perspective of Skopos, this paper makes a comparison between the two English versions of chapter 4 of Camel Xiangzi to help the target readers better understand the original text.
