摘要
随着全国高校大学英语深化改革,其教学模式从以前单一的EGP逐步转变成EGP+ESP的模式。虽然贵州教育与东部地区相比较为落后,但贵州各高校也纷纷适应形势发展。目前,贵州高校ESP课程以内容为核心,强调学生在相应专业领域的基础英语知识,课堂多以补充专业领域英语词汇为主,无法体现课程的工具性。笔者认为通过自编教材和补充大学英语教师的专业领域知识并充分利用贵州的科技资源能较好地保障贵州ESP课程的教学质量,以发挥其服务地方及工具性的作用。
With the deepening reform of College English in China,the teaching mode of College English has gradually changed from single EGP to EGP+ESP.Although education in Guizhou is relatively backward compared with that in the eastern region,universities in Guizhou are also adapting to the development of the situation.At present,ESP courses in Guizhou universities focus on content,emphasizing students’basic English knowledge in the corresponding professional fields.Most of the classes are supplementary to English vocabulary in the professional fields,which can not reflect the instrumentality of the courses,the author believes that the teaching quality of ESP course in Guizhou can be better guaranteed by compiling textbooks,supplementing College English teachers’professional knowledge and making full use of Guizhou’s scientific and technological resources,so as to play its role of serving local and instrumental areas.
