The Image Coding Based on the FLWT and New Zerotree Set

摘要 提出一种新图像编码算法(NewZerotreeCoding,简称NZC),该算法能够通过引入快速提升小波变换、修改零树集合定义及其分割排序策略等措施在一定程度上克服SPIHT图像编码算法的不足。实验结果表明:NZC算法不仅能够在几乎不降低图像复原质量的前提下进一步降低计算复杂度、提高编码速度;而且能够大幅度降低内存需求量,从而便于硬件实现。 The image coding based on the FLWT and new zerotree set(NZC) is proposed in this paper. It can be viewed as an improved version of SPIHT algorithm. But, in our NZC algorithm, the fast lifting wavelet transform is adopted, no lists are used during encoding/decoding and the SPIHT's sorting strategy is revised. The experiment results show that the PSNR values from NZC are slightly lower than SPIHT's, and encoding/decoding time from NZC is greatly less than SPIHT's.
