Linking the practical example of Teaching and Academic Exchange Center of Guangzhou Medical Institute, the principles of selecting and using cladding materials are discussed: ①to adapt the cladding to the building's characters; ②to select the materials according to the aesthetic and economic principles; ③to use materials of high quality properly; ④the selecting should be influenced and restricted by the surroundings.
