比利时耶稣会士鲁日满,1658年7月到达澳门,随后前往江南传教,驻地常熟,主要活动于常熟、苏州、松江、上海等地。他的这本账本始记于1674年10月7日,终于1676年3月或4月。包括收入账、支出账及记录自己精神修练过程的神操笔记三个部分。内容十分细致,涉及传教活动、日常活动、与不同阶层的中国人的关系、日常生活的收入和开支等生活细节。此账本不仅对研究明清时期西方传教士在中国的活动情况有很大的帮助,而且对我们考察当时江南地区日用消费品的价格和货币兑换也有重要的参考价值。

Francois Rougemont(1924-1676),the Belgian Missionary came to Macao in July,1658 and then go to Jiangnan for missionizing.He activated in Suzhou,Songjiang and Shanghai and resided in Changshu.He wrote down an account book during the time October 7,1674 to March or April 1676.It can be separated into three parts according to the contents:income,outgo and spiritual accounts,the recordation on the course for cultivating his morality.It is related to missionary and common activities,dealing with Chinese in different status,income and outgo in daily life etc.Not only the book will help the researchers in studying on the Western Missionaries’behaviors in China during Ming-Qing period,but also provide important references to studies on the prices of consumable and exchange of currency in Jiangnan at that time.
