Research on Ancient Chinese Archery Books

中国是世界上发明弓箭最早的国家之一,漫长的历史进程中,逐步形成具有中国文化特色的'射学',产生了许多关于射箭的理论和著述。中国射书内容丰富,史料与文化价值很高,是一项珍贵的民族文化遗产。可惜重文轻武的文化偏向使射书长期遭受冷遇,不被传统的文献学研究所重视,有的失传了,有的则被搁置一边,无人问津。本文是古代射书的目录考证之作,作者博览群籍,探颐索隐,条分缕析,编列出古代射书目录凡120种,并对其中多数图书进行了相关史事的考证,多有言前人之所未言者。

As one of the earliest countries which invented bow in the world,China created and developed later the so-called Philosophy of Archery,based on its own culture characteristics gradually formed during the profoundly long path of its history,and so gave birth to many writings and books specifically on the subject of archery.These books and writings are definitely legacies of our national culture,for their rich contents bear tremendously high value in terms of both history and culture.But unfortunately,due to the all along bias against military culture in Chinese philological study,these archery books and writings have never had the chance to catch the eyeballs of philologists.As a result,they are laid aside for a long time without any systematic studies or researches,and many of them are lost.This article provides us with a detailed study on 120 kinds of ancient Chinese archery books,which could be found in current existence.The author gives us a specific list of these 120 books annalistically,and provides us with many related historical records and textual researches,which a quite big part have never been mentioned in any texts before.
