宗教与社区:香港教会参与社区工作的历史经验与反思

Religion and Communities:Historical Experiences and Considerations about Church’s Participating in Community Activities in Hong Kong

本文通过分析佛、儒、道以及民间宗教在中国历史上和香港历史上所发挥的社会作用的局限性,论证了基督教在中国历史,尤其是在香港历史中所发挥的社会作用的优越性,总结了基督教在香港的社区工作经验,并进一步从宗教理论的角度出发,指出开展社区工作是与基督教基本宗旨相符合的。

Through analysis on the limitations of the social influence of Buddhism,Confucianism and Taoism and other nongovernmental religions in the history of China and Hong Kong,the essay expounds the advantages of the functions of Christianity displayed in the history of China especially of Hong Kong.It also offers a conclusion on the experiences of the Christian work in communities in Hong Kong.Lastly,from the angle of the religious theory,the author points out that the carrying out of the work in communities is in accord with the basic purposes of the Christianity.
