白江口之战是古代东亚世界形成过程中一次具有重大意义的战役。唐朝与日本水师会战,双方的兵力在中、韩、日三国古代文献中记载不一,颇有疑问;学术界也有不同推测。本文考订交战三方的史料和研究成果,对唐朝和日本投入战场的兵力提出明确的结论,认为这是一场双方兵力大致相等的战役,日军失败的原因在于其政治决策。

The Batde of Bai-jiang-kou was a very significant battle for the being of the world of ancient East Asia.Tang’s navy and Japan’s met for a decisive battle.About the armed forces of both sides,it is strange that the records in Chinese,Korean and Japanese’s ancient documents were different and there are several different inferences in academic circles.By studying the three,sides’historical materials and research achievements,the author draws a conclusion about tang’s and Japan’s armed forces and believes that there were almost equal armed forces in both sides and that the cause of Japan’s failure was the political decision.
