During the Middle Ages of Japan,from 1184 to 1572,a period that had been one of the most essential parts in the developing route of Japanese ancient architecture,the Japanese architectural technique and style appeared much Songstyle under the technical influence and pushing from Song.This article focuses on the Toda-ji Bell Tower,the great architecture which approximately finished at the beginning of the Middle Ages,and analyses the technical characteristics and meanings of this architecture under the above-mentioned historical context.
