时光回到2004年,我接到河北人民广播电台的约请,让我说一部反腐倡廉的评书,是张楠先生的新作《明镜高悬》。其中有一段写的是主人公县长姜万峰回省城开会后利用休息时间看望老岳父的情节。姜万峰的岳父当过省委书记,老书记给女婿做了一顿饭,这顿饭书中并没有交待吃的是什么菜,我就按照自己的理解说这顿饭做的是红烧肉、水煮鱼。父亲袁阔成知道后,问我:"这两个菜是你自己爱吃的吧?"我听完一愣。父亲说:"你没有理解书里字面后边的意思。
Yuan Kuocheng,agreat master in storytelling, passed away recently. He cultivated numerous storytellers during his 60-year career, leaving a huge spiritual treasure to the world. Father often warned me that learning good manners comes before learning the artistic skill while learning to be a decentperson comes before learning good manners. His words and deeds exert a big influence on my life. He often said, "Audience come to listen to you tell stories. Cherish them. Be serious about every detail of each story no matter how insignificant it seems to be." As his successor, I will try my best to be a good storyteller.
