A Probe into Investment Banking Business in Commercial Banks

国际金融环境近年发生重大变化,随着跨国金融机构的竞争发展,金融监管机构监管手段更加成熟,由分业经营回归混业经营成为主流趋势。本文借鉴美国金融控股集团模式与德国全能银行模式,探讨我国商业银行发展投行业务的可行路径。

Global financial markets have witnessed significant changes in terms of growing competition between multinational financial institutions and more developed regulatory measures. Universal banking may replace segmented banking as the new theme. This paper discusses possible approaches of Chinese commercial banks to develop investment-banking businesses, based on existing Financial Holding Company mode in the US and the Universal Banking mode in Germany.
