科学本应以理性分析求得广泛共识,但在经济增长理论中"数学滥用"的伪科学方法反倒使经济学家将错误的主张合理化了。本文通过生动的例证,指出"数学滥用"是如何通过使用大量脱离理论基础的非正规用语与符号和具有欺骗性的假定,忽略紧密的逻辑推演,从而导出错误的结论的。本文还强调,学术界已将数学滥用当作是一种默认的潜规则,长此以往会对学术发展造成巨大的伤害。

This article firstly introduces topics in scientific research, such as combining theory with practice, the development of growth theory and its math application. The author then criticizes 'Mathiness' and holds that Mathiness overuses math terminologies and notations while overlooks theorization, and thereby comes to wrong conclusions. He uses several examples to support this point. The author points that Mathiness has become a 'hidden rule' in academia and if it lasts, will impose huge negative impact on academic development.
