The world economy is facing great challenges. The advanced and developing countries should revive the bold spirit of action and cooperation that characterized the early years of the recovery effort.What is needed is a three-pronged approach that embraces monetary and fiscal policies as well as structural reforms. This is needed to strengthen the global economic foundation and guard against risk. This will require collective global action and greater efforts to make the international monetary system more stable and supportive of economic growth.
