摘要
本文是一个综述。介绍近年来综合图象处理模式识别技术和数据库枝术而发展起来的图象数据库技术研究。介绍了作者在参加美国Purdue 大学的IMAID(Integrated Image Analysis aIld Image Database Management System)系统研究中的部分工作。IMAID是Prof.K.S.Fu和Dr.N.S.Chang于1980年开始提出和实现的系统,本文也介绍了他们的许多工作。
In this paper, we give an overview of the Image Database Technique. At first the advantages of using entity-relationship model to pictorial and non-pictorial data will be discussed. Then the concepts of both the primary pictorial relation and general pictorial relations will be defined. The system organization of IMAID and the pictorial query language QPE will be in troduced as well.
