Server fault-tolerant technique is important to the data security of expressway networked toll syst em. The principles of hot standby computer system and fault-tolerant server are introduced. According to the comparison between hot standby computer system and fault-tolerant server,the fault-tolerant server which has high cost performance price ratio is applied in southeast section of Nanjing Raoyue expressway.
