This paper simulates statistical characteristic of PMD in polarization maintaining fiber(PMF) link, and compares distribution characteristic of differential group delay(DGD) under different conditions. From our simulating results, we know that under the same conditions, the DGD distribution trends to Maxwell distribution when the number of PMF increases; with the number of variables increasing, less segment of PMF can lead to Maxwell distribution.
