The paper gives a comprehensive comparison between 'Japanese New Movies' and 'the Fifth Generation' of Chinese film arena which sprang up in the 1980s on the film arena with many styles and brought forth new ideas. It also makes a detailed discussion about their utterly different narrative styles and formations of works, and draws a clear conclusion that they are the crux of high artistic quality and much economic benefit of film to make a dominant narration and blaze proper new trails for the director.
