The story of visiting the thatched cottage three times embodies the process of developing gradually and choosing mutually to build the cooperation of both LIU Bei and ZHUGE Liang. LIU Bei regarded as important the latent forces at the back of ZHUGE Liang in the region of Jingzhou, therefore his visitations had profound and symbolic significance showing his good faith; while Zhuge Liang valued highly the strength of Liu Bei on which he could base himself to achieve his ambition, though he had to rely on the patron appreciating. In the end, the different intentions had been united through LIU Bei's visitations and there was a winwin.
