Several new technologies such as foundation construction in lava area, installation of large components over narrow space and trunk roads, global positioning system and paving with new fiber etc. are used in construction of the Sanyuanli Interchange, a key knob system at the south entrance of Guangzhou New Airport Freeway the No.1 road in south China.
