Investigation of metabolic changes of host cells in tissue culture caused by Rickettsia tsutsugamushi helps to elucidate the pathogenesis and mechanism of immunity in scrub typhus. We used the histochemical methods for observing the changes of nucleic acids in the rabbit testicular monolayer tissue culture inoculated with R. tsutsugamushi. The method of preparation and inoculation of the tissue culture was the same as already reported.
