摘要
The progress of plant protoplast culture and somatic hybridization technique has demonstrated a significant potential in exploring new approaches to plant improvement as well as in genetic engineering studies. Many researchers concentrated their effort on the culture of important crops, especially cereals. Protoplast cultures of cereals have been reported[1-6], yet no plant regeneration has ever been obtained, and up to date no regularly sustained division ever detected in cultured protoplasts from cereal mesophylls. In this paper we report the results on the division of regenerated cell from mesophyll protoplasts of barley.
