THE CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF 4-IODOPHENOXYACETIC ACID

摘要 4-iodophenoxyacetic acid （IC6H4OCH2COOH） is a plant growth control agent. It has been shown that strong O—H… O hydrogen bonds through which two molecules form a dimer are present in the crystals of many substituted benzoic acid. The present paper is a report on the structure analysis of the crystal of 4-iodophenoxyacetic acid by means of the X-ray diffractional method.
