ON THE FORMATIVE CONDITIONS OF POLYHALITE IN THE SIX-COMPONENT SYSTEM K^+,Na^+,Mg^(2+),Ca^(2+)/Cl^-,SO_4~2-H_2O

Polyhalite （K2SO4·MgSO4·2CaSO4·2H2O） is one of the widely distributed potash minerals. It is found in nearly all potash deposits of the sulphate type in Sichuan, Hubei and Shandong provinces. The study on the formative conditions of polyhalite and the interrelation between polyhalite and soluble potash minerals becomes important for the present mineral exploration.
