Ⅰ. INTRODUCTION The leguminosae is one of the largest and most cosmopolitan group of plants. However, they are consistently difficult to maintain in culture either as cell systems or asdividing protoplasts. Plantlet regeneration from leaf mesophyll origin has been reported only for Medicago sativa.
