摘要
In a plasma under the action of a magnetic field B_∞, there exist the famous Alfv(?)n wave, whistler wave, etc. Whether the corresponding Alfv(?)n solitary wave,whistler solitary wave, etc. exist is one of the important problems in the study of plasma waves. The weak Alfv(?)n and whistler solitary waves have been discussed by D. A. Tidman, A. B. Muhailofsky, et al, but they were treated on rather too many assumptions and the problems have not yet been solved satisfactorily.
