摘要
On the east of the 'Kangdian Oldland', the 'Upper Yangztze Area' includes Guizhou Province, major part of Sichuan Province and east Yunnan Province. In the Late Permian, this area was oceupied by an epicontinental sea with repeated transgressions and regressions. The trasgressions proceeded from east (southeast) onto west (northwest), and brought in abundant fossils of all kinds, including a great number of gastropod genera, species and individuals.
