摘要
According to Smale’s theory of immersions of spheres in Euclidean space, we know immediately that for n=2 or 6, the standard embedding of Sn in Rn+1 is regularly homotopic to its reflection. It is interesting to ask whether this is true for n≠2 or 6. The answer is negative as we shall see later.
