摘要
The well-known stone forests of Yunnan are a unique feature of palaeokarst formed by dissolution of a complex of stone columns downcut and eroded on the surface or along the fissures of the very thick bedded limestone. This note deals with the morphological characteristics and palaeogeographical environments of the Lunan Stone Forest, Yunnan Province, in terms of geomorphology, petrology, paleontology and sedimentology.
