Parathyroid hormone （PTH） is an important calcium-regUlating hormone in the body, while kidney is a main target of PTH in modulating calcium ions (Ca2+) of the extracellular solution. The mechanisms of PTH in modulating Ca2+ in kidney have been studied, which shows that the stimulation of adenylate cyclase （AC） in renal cortical cell membrane is necessary for the action of PTH.
