We used 5 types maleimide spin labeling compounds in studying the property of sulfhydryl binding sites on normal cells V79 and cancer cells V79-B1 membrane of the lungs of Chinese hamster. The binding sites of sulfhydryl group on the membrane proteins of both normal cell V79 and cancer cell V79-B1 are of conical shape. But, the binding sites of sulfhydryl group on the membrane of V79 cell are narrower and deeper than those of V79-B1 cell. The depth of the former is about 10.85—15.33 while the depth of the latter is less than 10.85.
