摘要
Octapeptide cholecystokinin (CCK-8) is a typical brain-gut peptide existing in beth the intestine and CNS. Central administration of CCK-8 has been shown to antagonize the effect o acupuneture analgesia (AA). The aim of the present study was to show whether CCK-8 would play a role in the gradual decrease of the effect of AA after prolonged electroacupuncture (EA) stimulation, a phenomenon known as acupuncture tolerance. Antiserum directed to CCK-8 was injected centrally to see if the acupuncture tolerance could be reversed.
