PHASE RELATION BETWEEN Ca-BEARING MINERALS AND BRINE IN A SIXCOMPONENT SYSTEM K, Na, Mg, Ca, Cl, SO_4-H_2O

Ⅰ. INTRODUCTION The experimental data on the precipitation of Ca-bearing minerals in a system K, Na, Mg, Ca, Cl, SO4-H2O are notably lacking, owing to the extremely slow velocity of reaction in the course of the experiment, though Van’t Hoff and D’ans once roughly outlined the phase fields of minerals on the triangular projection K2-Mg-SO4 and Baliashko, Autenrieth and Han Weitian attempted the studies on the formation of polyhalite in the Mg-rich area of the same projection.
