LASER INDUCED EMISSION BAND IN Cs·Ar EXCIMER MOLECULE (6dσ-6sσ)

摘要 The emission and absorption spectra of alkali-noble gas system have long been the subject of investigation, but laser induced emission of Cs·Ar molecule between the 6dσa and 6sσ state is still unknown.Pasca. calculated theoretically its potential (see Fig. 1). In excited state, an atom of alkali has a bound potential, which causes the alkali atom to combine with a ground argon atom to form an alkali-noble molecule Whose life-time is about 10-8s.Since the spectra of such a molecule are the same with the solar spectra, their study may be helpful for utilizing solar energy.
