摘要
The stored energy of the quartz lattice included in the loess presenting the TL information can be used in dating the age of the loess.Experimental facts show that the stored energy in quartz lattice would decrease after exposing to sunlight.Consequently,using the TL technique,one can deetermine the original time of quartz that is a component of the loess,and calculate the age of the loess.The establishment of this idea which leads to the principle of using TL dating of loess age is briefed as follows.
