摘要
In recent years studies of biosynthesis, distribution and physiological function of lectins in plants have drawn considerable attention of people. For rice germ Iectin (RGL), the molocular properties, hemagglutination activity, quantity and biosynthesis in developing and germinating rice grains and phys ological cffects on plant cells have been intensively studied. These researches demonstrate that the synthesis, accumulation and distribution of RGL during the course of development are associated with rice embryo differentiation, and the RGL can recognize and combine specifically with rice embryonic cells and some other plant cells.
