By an outerplanar map, we shall mean such a map in which all the vertices are on the boundary of the infinite face. First, we investigate rooted strict outerplanar maps, i. e. rooted outerplanar maps for which no loops appear in the inner domain of root-loop and those from which no one of the resultant maps of contracting the root-edges consecutively has a loop in the inner domain of root-loop.
