Wheat field water experiments were carried on in Gongxian, Henan Province and Tai’an, Shandong Province from October, 1983 to June, 1984. There were four different soil water treatments in the experiments, i.e. in the 0—50 cm soil profile, soil water contents were respectively<45%, 45—60%, 60—80% and >80% of field capacity.
