摘要
The first study on extraneous multipliers for cyclic difference sets, multipliers not dividing n=k-λ, was carried out by H. B. Mann (see some theorems on difference sets, Canadian J. Math., 1952, 222—226). His investigations led to the interesting result that 2 is never an extraneous multiplier for a non-trivial cyclic difference set. Our results are:
