摘要 Ⅰ. INTRODUCTION In the 1966 International Quantum Electronics Conference, Walter et al. advanced a new class of lasers——the efficient pulsed gas discharge lasers. Since lasers of this sort are intrinsically self-terminating, and most of their lasants are metal vapor, they are often called self-terminating, metal vapor lasers.
