INTRODUCTION Due to their special structures, two nitrogen five-membered heterocyclic com- pounds, including imidazole and pyrazole derivatives, are very important in biochem- istry, medical chemistry, physical chemistry, organic chemistry and catalysis. How- ever, unbranched alkyl-substituted imidazoles and pyrazoles are relatively few.
