For temperature measurement, three holes in Glacier No. 1 in the (?)rümqi River headwaters were drilled using hot water-driller in July 1986 for setting sensors with an accuracy of ±0.05 K. They are T1 (3854 m a.s.1.), and T2 (3928 m a. s. 1.) in
